Claudia Wälder-Jene

CLAUDIA WÄLDER-JENE, born in Ottweiler in 1978, studied musicology, literary studies and phonetics at the Universität des Saarlandes (Saarland University). At the same time she attended lessons in conducting which she passed with great success in 2000.

Since 2001 she has taught flute, recorder, early musical education, ensemble playing, music theory as well as aural training at the music school in Sankt Wendel. As a teacher of the subjects flute, breathing, aural training, rhythm and music theory, Claudia Wälder-Jene is always in demand for chamber music classes and courses in general.

She also works as a freelance for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Flöte e.V. (German Flute Assocication) where she has been responsible for reviews of recent publications of music written for flute for years. Besides she is the author of (the book entitled) “Die Flötensonaten von Johann Sebastian Bach - Werkgenese und Authentizität”.

Claudia Wälder-Jene’s main emphasis is placed on working with young people. She is able to draw on her wealth of experience which she has gained in numerous orchestral projects, chamber music ensembles and similar formations.

Many awards and prizes but especially the motivation and enthusiasm of the young people Claudia Wälder-Jene is working with prove the great success of her work. Her educational skills and her friendly (harmonious) relationship with her musicians lead to excellent results at national competitions and concerts.
