The handcrafted ALTUS headpiece for the Z-Series models is characterized by the rather angular shape of the mouth hole, the Z-Cut. The wide blowing edge allows a very fast response and full sound. The sound character of this series is supported by the use of 925 sterling silver.
The sterling silver headjoint with 92.5% silver content gives the instruments the typical bright silver sound, which is standard in the advanced range to produce a sophisticated sound.
With 92.5% silver content, sterling silver is a typical alloy for higher quality flutes, which enables a brilliant, overtone-rich sound.
The E mechanics allow for better stability of the tone E3, while also improving the intonation and response for the tone.
The design with advanced G key has an ergonomic position of the flaps for the ring finger of the left hand.
Closed keys were used as standard in traditional flute construction and generally facilitate the clean and reliable closing of the keys. Also, maintenance and upholstery is a little easier.
The scope of delivery of each AZUMI flute includes an elegant, high-quality velvet-lined wooden case, a matching lined case pocket as well as a wiper rod and cleaning cloth.
The C-foot is the traditional design of the flute, as it was standard for many decades, as well as in literature. The response is a little lighter and the timbre a little lighter.
